About the event

Born December 14, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee to the Late Rep. Harold M. Love, Sr. and Mary Y. Love he is the last of five children and the only male. He was educated in the public schools of Metro Nashville Davidson County and graduated with Honors from Whites Creek High School in 1990. Graduated from Tennessee State University in 1994 with a Degree in Economics and Finance with a minor in Political Science, Graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Divinity in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies, and graduated from Tennessee State University 2017 with Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. While attending Tennessee State University as an undergraduate he marched in the Aristocrat of Bands, and was initiated into the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. “Mighty Rho Psi” Chapter and elected president of the Graduating class. Was ordained an elder by the A.M.E. Church in 1999 and received his first Pastoral assignment at Hopewell A.M.E. Church, Columbia, Tennessee he was assigned to St. Paul A.M.E. Church on October 2002 in Nashville, Tennessee. In October 2014 appointed and served a year as Presiding Elder of The South Nashville District of The A.M.E. Church. In 2016 he was assigned to Pastor Lee Chapel AME Church, Nashville, Tennessee. He is a 33° Mason and a Shriner. He currently serves as a member of board the 18th Avenue Family Enrichment Center, he serves on the following Committees, Local Government, Education Administration, Finance, Ways and Means Committee, Finance, Ways, and Means Subcommittee and Higher Education Subcommittee, Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR), and the House Democratic Caucus, Assistant Leader and President Elect of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators. His wife Leah Love is an Attorney and owner of Dupree Consulting Group.
