About the event
Jill Melton has called Nashville home for 15 years, and the south, for 30. She is an experienced editor, writer, and professional cook, with over 30 years in the publishing business. She is also a registered dietitian with a masters degree in public health. After five years working in public health, she found her way to Cooking Light magazine (in Birmingham, AL) where she spent 15 years bringing it from infancy to a household name. She moved to Nashville to start Relish magazine, which she launched and grew to one of the largest food magazines in the country read by over 16 million folks.
Without any investors, she cashed in her 401K to start Edible Nashville, which is part of the Edible Communities (ECI) network. ECI has more than 80 magazines throughout the US and Canada, all run by independent publishers and editors. But eating local and sustainable is hardly limited to any one state or city. It is a national and global movement. ECI harnesses the power of all the local markets to expand the voice and action.
Jill brings talent, style and a sharp palate to Edible Nashville, as well as the ability to sniff out a great bowl of Pho. Cooking is her first love, and you'll find tons of recipes on this website as well as on their instagram @ediblenashtn.
