About the event

Deborah Varallo is founder of Varallo Public Relations (VPR), a full-service marketing, social media, public relations and crisis management firm. VPR provides support to professional firms such as architects, engineers, contractors, and the legal, financial and healthcare industries. She has been featured in local, regional and national publications, such as Fortune, Entrepreneurial and Bloomberg magazines.

She is an elected Board of Director for Wilson Bank & Trust, a nine county, 29 branch community bank in Middle Tennessee. She serves on the bank’s finance, technology, investment committees and chairs the marketing committee. CABLE Nashville recently inducted her into the 2021 Board Walk of Fame.

Some of Deborah’s honors include Nashville Post’s In Charge, Nashville Post All-Star Board, Society of Fellows for TEDxNashville, YWCA of Middle Tennessee as Woman of Achievement and Nashville Business Journal as Women of Influence.

Deborah is president-elect of the International Women’s Forum – Tennessee Chapter. She serves on the boards for Nashville State Community College Foundation, Cumberland Region Tomorrow, Catholic Business League, Metro Nashville’s Small Business Task Force and serves as an Advisor for Center for Nonprofit Management’s Development Committee. She was recently appointed to the Nashville Chamber’s Ambassador Committee program.

Her former board chairs include: Leadership Middle Tennessee (LMT), Leadership Nashville Alumni Association, LMT Alumni Board, and Center for Nonprofit Management. Additional boards included: Rotary Club of Nashville, The Women’s Fund, Catholic Charities of TN, YWCA of Middle Tennessee, and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee.

Other volunteer positions included: Community Chair for Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee, co-chair of Celebration of Mission to Service fundraiser for Catholic Charities of Tennessee, and co-chair/chair for Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee major fundraisers.

CABLE has presented Deborah with their Networking Award and the Civic Outreach Award. The Women’s Political Collaborative of Tennessee honored her for community service and she has been named to the Tennessee FFA (Future Farmers of America) Foundation, Inc. Century Club. She recently received the Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce’ s 2021 Woman Owned Workplace Award.

She and her husband are members of St. Stephen Catholic Community where they serve in a number of volunteer and leadership roles. Their daughter, Mary Kathleen Varallo Hayes, lives in Texas with her husband, Jordan, and their young son, Townes.
